Here it is...my favorite Beatles record. I LOVE this album. To me it was the perfect marrage of the Beatles being experamental, but still holding onto their pop sensibilities. The perfect point in that transition. Not the most important album, but certainly the most enjoyable, just fun!

For next week:

6: Marvin Gaye: What's Going On

7: The Rolling Stones: Exile On Main Street

8: The Clash: London Calling

9: Bob Dylan: Blonde on Blonde

10: The Beatles: The White Album

dean squishman - Not much to say about this one. Love all the songs on it. Feels like it must have been a real toss up between the list makers to choose between this one and Revolver for positioning purposes. Realizing the progression in time between the 3 albums ending with Sgt Peppers helps put into perspective where the song writing perspective was at the time. The third eye was definitely opening.
